IPL 2025 Pulse - Week #9

It's showtime in Bengaluru
Eight days after the tournament had to be suspended due to border tensions between India and Pakistan, the 2025 IPL season resumes today in Bengaluru with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru hosting Kolkata Knight Riders at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. A win for the home side will ensure qualification for them while the defending champions need to win to keep their mathematical chances alive. Check the match preview to get more insights on the game.
RCB are ready to rumble
Having a long break during a tournament is never ideal, especially as RCB last played on May 3 in that thrilling game against arch-rivals CSK. Rust is inevitable but Director of Cricket Mo Bobat is unfazed by the situation. He also explains how his team doesn't bother much about the much hyped left-right combination and instead chooses to stick to the processes.
Replacements galore with a twist
The unexpected delay to the tournament has cost the IPL. Several key players have marked themselves unavailable at different timelines due to various reasons. However, the IPL GC has allowed replacements with a special clause for the franchises. Have a look at the replacement list here, and if you don't know what the rule is, here you go.
The Fizz saga has a positive ending
Mustafizur Rahman has been granted NOC by the BCB for participation in the IPL, putting an end to the bizarre situation created few days ago. The left-arm pacer had been picked up by DC as the replacement but drama ensuedas he had travelled for national duty on the same day. All is well that ends well and the Fizz has been cleared to play.
