As IPL 2025 resumes after the break, here's a complete team-by-team update on returning players, absentees, and the replacements stepping in. To Note: Teams are allowed temporary replacements given the exceptional circumstances of the re-start.

Gujarat Titans

Jos Buttler and Kagiso Rabada have rejoined the squad. The former England captain will not be available post GT's last league game against CSK on May 25 and the franchise have roped in Sri Lanka's Kusal Mendis for INR 75 lakh to feature in the playoffs, if the Titans get there.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru

RCB announced on their social media channels that the English trio - Phil Salt, Liam Livingstone, and Jacob Bethell - had arrived in Bengaluru ahead of their home game against KKR on May 17. Also back in the squad is West Indies all-rounder Romario Shepherd, who was instrumental in the team's home win over CSK.

Delhi Capitals

DC signed Mustafizur Rahman as replacement for Jake Fraser-McGurk. But he is not in India as yet and awaits a No Objection Certificate from his home board, the BCB. He is currently in the UAE with the national team for the two-match T20I series.

There is no confirmation as yet on the status of star fast bowler Mitchell Starc. Cricbuzz is made to understand by those who have spoken to Starc and his agent that the left-arm pacer might eventually decide to return.

Kolkata Knight Riders

KKR confirmed that all their players and staff have reached Bengaluru ahead of their re-start fixture against RCB save for Rovman Powell and Moeen Ali. "Both Powell and Ali couldn't come back due to medical reasons. Rovman is undergoing a procedure, while Moeen and his family are down with a viral infection."

Punjab Kings

PBKS have signed Kyle Jamieson for INR 2 crore as a replacement for compatriot Lockie Ferguson, who is ruled out of the remainder of the tournament with a hamstring injury he sustained in the game against SRH.

Marcus Stoinis, Aaron Hardie and Jos Inglis have not yet confirmed their participation in the remainder of the tournament to the PBKS management. However, there is an impression in the team, coached by Australia legend Ricky Ponting, that the trio might come back after their first game, on May 18 in Jaipur.

Mitch Owen and Xavier Bartlett, have joined the squad.

Lucknow Super Giants

LSG have roped in New Zealand pacer, William O'Rourke for INR 3 crores as an injury replacement for Mayank Yadav. The Indian speedster was ruled out of the season with a back injury.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

The Australian pair of Travis Head and Pat Cummins will fly directly to Lucknow ahead of the SRH's game against LSG on May 19.

Rajasthan Royals

Pace ace Jofra Archer will not re-join RR's squad for their final two games of the season.

Chennai Super Kings

The England pair of Sam Curran and Jamie Overton will not return to feature in the already-eliminated CSK's final two games. CSK's management has also confirmed to Cricbuzz that they will not be seeking any temporary replacements.
