Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders were knocked out of contention for a playoff berth as the Indian Premier League 2025 resumed with a washout in Bengaluru. Forecast did predict rain on game day and it never really relented right from the time it arrived, more than an hour before the toss.

Primed for a playoff spot, RCB might secure their place in the final four before even playing their next game as they will go through if Punjab Kings or Delhi Capitals lose tomorrow. While PBKS face Rajasthan Royals in an afternoon fixture in Jaipur, DC will take on Gujarat Titans in the evening at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
